My name is Grey Newell. I’m an independent software architect and machine learning engineer offering elite AI and cloud consulting to serious clients who want results without the overhead.

I work directly with founders, engineering leaders, and technical teams to design and deploy reliable systems that integrate artificial intelligence in meaningful, measurable ways.

I don’t sell slide decks or fluff. I build things that run.

What I Do

Each project is unique, but the throughline is always the same: innovative systems with clear results, no drama, and minimal friction.

How I Work

I charge a flat $300 per hour for my time. That includes all compute, networking, and power costs for training and deployment work if it runs on my hardware.

You work directly with me. I write the code, build the infra, run the jobs, and document the results. There are no handoffs, no subcontractors, and no delays waiting for approval from someone else’s manager.

I serve clients across the United States and focus on work that benefits from deep focus, speed, and a high level of technical trust.

I run a fully private training and development cluster equipped with:

• 2x RTX 5080 GPUs

• 192 GB DDR5 RAM

• Ryzen 9950X CPU

• High-speed NVMe and archival storage

• 2.5 Gbps symmetric networking

I also have access to additional cloud and rental hardware when jobs require more parallelization. Whether you need a small finetune or a multi-node batch job, I can support the workload without delays or inflated infrastructure costs.

Qualifications

I hold all 12 AWS certifications and have led architecture work across major Fortune 100 accounts. I’ve worked inside Amazon, co-founded startups, and built infrastructure from the ground up in environments that demand uptime, observability, and performance.

I am comfortable working across the stack: systems, infra, ML pipelines, training code, data prep, and deployment. My specialty is synthesis: bridging the gap between what you want to build and the system that makes it real.
